Unusual, late Ayutthaya or Early Rattanakosin Period Thailand Buddha head. The bronze has been cast with quite light bronze and the ears are made from copper strips and lacquered over. The face is quite atypical with Chinese characterisics, possibly a regional style. Please examine enlargements for condition. H: 22cm/8.7in (with stand 31cm).

This attractive and sizeable dish was made during the 15th century. It is well decorated with an attractive floral design inside the bowl and lotus leaf patterns on the outside wall. The glaze is finely crackled. The inside of the foot rim is coated in a brown wash, typical of many Vietnamese pieces of this period. A good size with a diameter of 24 cm (9.5 inches)...

Beautiful women’s apron style skirt from the Bahnar (Ba Na) ethnic group, Central Highlands of Vietnam. Woven from fine handspun cotton using all indigo and natural dyes. The weaving is very intricate and refined, note the use of narrow warp ikat bands throughout this piece. This piece is has small tear at the corner (see last enlargement) and a couple of frays but otherwise excellent condition and dates to 1960 to 1970...
